a) ASSESSMENT
Sosie
SOSIE is a French word translating as "a perfect resemblance to another”. SOSIE is much richer than just a simple personality measure as it identifies both an individual's traits and their interpersonal and personal values, which are important for managers to make the transition.
b) LEARNING SESSION - 2 DAYS
Program Foundation
The transition from an Individual Contributor to a Manager is more change in a role. Most organizations promote their high performers with the hope that they will automatically learn how to perform in their new role. This is similar to throwing a first time swimmer in the deep end of the pool and hoping his survival instincts to kick in and he learns to swim.

This approach may work in a swimming class but will surely not work in a business environment. Putting individual contributors in an unfamiliar situation will force them to resort to things which have previously worked for them, thereby falling into the trap of the inhibitors.

What a manager needs is a program which equips them with the mindset, skillset and toolset to flourish in their new role.
